Journalism prize "Writing for Central Europe"

APA – Austria Press Agency in cooperation with Bank Austria announced the journalism prize “Writing for Central Europe”.
Eligible for participation
Journalists from Europe
Contributions
Articles published in the period from August 1st 2010 until July 31st 2011.
• Each article should be submitted in the original language (word data with maximum 25 pages by E-mail)
• with a translation into English,
• curriculum vitae in English (ten lines), and the
submission form.
Radio-, TV- and online-contributions may also be submitted. The exclusive criterion for the jury’s decision is the quality of the text. With your submission you agree to the possible publication of the submitted report in the scope of the “Writing for CEE” journalism award.
Subjects
The prize is aimed at encouraging European integration. Awards come into question for those contributions which help overcome borders and prejudices, deal with the future of Central Europe or the Europe of the regions, or minority issues or dialogue with neighbours.
Award
EUR 5.000,-. The prize is awarded once a year.
Winner
The jury selects one contribution. There is only one winner. The best ten to twelve contributions are published in a booklet – on submission, the authors agree to waive their publication fee for the booklet.
