University students in journalism, communications or related fields who are citizens of Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine and the United States can participate in the Journey Program. It is an intensive summer course organized by the Bakala Foundation in cooperation with ProPublica and the Embassy of the United States in the Czech Republic. The training will take place Aug. 8 to 18 in Prague, Czech Republic.
The program offers interactive seminars conducted by professional journalists. Successful candidates will receive full scholarship covering travel expenses, room and board. They must have completed a minimum of two academic semesters and be proficient in English. The deadline to apply is April 30. More information is available here.
