Documentary filmmakers with a focus on human rights are called to submit their work to an international film festival in Ukraine.
From March 25 – April 1, 2015, Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival will be held in Kyiv, Ukraine. The non-profit festival is held annually to promote the societal dialogue on human rights, human dignity and democracy. The festival is supported by several NGOs, among them the Ukrainian Helsinki Committee.

International documentary makers can submit their movies (short or full length) to take part in the festival competition. Eligible entries must not have been produced before 2014 and should not have been screened on Ukrainian festivals, Ukrainian TV or the internet. Also movies produced for commercial interests or lobby of a certain party are excluded from the festival.
The competition consists of four different categories: Life (portraying human rights with artistic means), Right (focussing on human rights observance), Short (maximum length of 45 minutes) and Ukraine, the national contest for productions made in Ukraine. For each category, a jury will chose the best entry which will be rewarded with USD 1,000.
Deadline for the submission of films (by post) is November 30, 2015.
