The Association of European Journalists –Bulgaria supports petition against new „EU-directive on the protection of undisclosed know-how and business information“. In case comes into action journalists and their sources could be sued by companies if they reveal what these companies want to keep secret. Unless we react to defend the investigative work of journalists and, by extension, the right for citizen to be informed.
The Central European Initiative (CEI) and the South East Europe Media Organisation (SEEMO), in special partnership with the Media Program South East Europe of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), have opened the Call for Applications 2015 of the CEI SEEMO Award for Outstanding Merits in Investigative Journalism.
The Award for Outstanding Merits in Investigative Journalism honours journalists who greatly contribute to investigative reporting, despite the difficult conditions under which they operate.
The rights to enter have the media, scientific institutions, journalists’ organizations, non-governmental organizations, professional journalists and the students of journalism from all around the world.
