Persephone Miel Fellowship looks for candidates

Journalistic projects that focus on global crisis underreported in the mainstream American media, will be supported by Persephone Miel Fellowship 2015.

Journalism prize "Writing for Central Europe".

The prize is aimed at encouraging European integration. Awards come into question for those contributions which help overcome borders and prejudices, deal with the future of Central Europe or the Europe of the regions, or minority issues or dialogue with neighbours.

Photography competition: “Crises & Disasters”.

In total, seven prizes will be given to the winning professional and amateur photographers. Two overall winners will be awarded with a theme-related reporting trip, and five runners-up will receive 200 US dollars Amazon coupon.

Council of Europe Youth Media Award

Four categories are open to contestants between the ages of 18 and 30: photography, video, radio and print journalism. Winners will be invited to Strasbourg to receive their cash prize of €1000 at a ceremony during the June 2010 session of the Parliamentary Assembly.

Journalistic competition on the concept of ‘Space and the future of...

Entrants must be aged between 18 and 30. The deadline for submission is 15 May 2011. Winners of the competition will be announced on 20 May 2011. The length of each entry may not exceed 7000 characters or if it is audio or video material not more than 5 mins duration.

International blogging competition focuses on water recourses

Online competition for journalists, students and bloggers on topics related to water has been announced. TH!NK5 Water is an initiative of the European Journalism Centre and is inspired by World Water Day - March 22.
